It was Thursday, July 31, the night of the annual Gathering of Eagles fundraiser at AirVenture, and Michael Kenny was en route to joining his colleagues from Pilatus Aircraft, Ltd. when suddenly his phone rang. The 37-year-old Irishman saw it was from his father, Patrick, who was calling from home in Cork, Ireland.

Talk about your great timing ... As aerobatic pilot Alan Henley lay in his Alabama hospital bed last Saturday morning recovering from his severe injuries in a non-aviation home accident, a computer was brought into the room. About an hour later, the AeroShell Aerobatic Team Lead took cyber-delivery of the world's biggest get well card that read, "Get Well Alan."

One woman from Italy lost her international cell phone. Another woman from Australia lost her camera's memory card, filled with her family's entire U.S. vacation. Both were turned in at AirVenture's General Information Services, which includes lost and found.
