Look-up.com Aviate the Web!

"Affordable and Simple. These are words not usually associated with aviation.

They are words that pilots use to describe Lookup LogQuik, Lookup LogBook and Lookup NavCalc, shareware software tools in use with pilots around the world."

This text graced the opening page of Look-Up.com, one of the first aviation web sites established way back in 1996. Before that, we could be found on AVSIG, a CompuServe forum that was the early meeting place for connected pilots. We produced software tools for pilots - shareware - and in the process worked with civilian, corporate, professional and military pilots from all over the world.

One of our pilot tools, LogQuik, was awarded 5 stars of out 5 for quality and ease of use by ZDNet. Look-up.com itself was listed in the popular book "The 300 Best Aviation Sites" several years running.

That was then. This is now.

Look-up.com is reinventing itself. We are becoming an aviation destination - offering news and information, aviation blogs for pilots or anyone who loves airplanes.

Our software tools are still around - freeware now. Or more accurately, donation ware. If you use and like them, we'd appreciate a donation to help keep the site running (it's fun but it's not free!).

Can't donate right now? Maybe you could write a review on some aviation hardware or software and post it to the site for others to benefit from.

No writing skills? How about posting a recommendation to visit look-up.com on your favorite FBO bulletin board? You get te idea...

The idea is that since 1000 or so people stop by here every day, it would be nice to have a free aviation based forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
